Profile Design Question. Longer Fuse?
I was noticing that almost all profile planes stick close too a 1 to 1 ratio of wing span to fuse length. I was wondering if lengthening the fuse would improve hovering / harrier performance? I'm wondering if anyone has tried this and what the results were?

Shorter fuses tumble and spin better... Longer fuses snap better and track a little better.
Depends on what you like.... I'm about to try a plane with a longer fuse....

Profile Design Question. Longer Fuse?
One of the bigger problems with making a long profile fuse is the torsional strength. We were belting around our field one christmas with our hovering cobras, when we were rolling very quickly the stab was twisting aroung to where the fin should be and the fin was twisting around to where the stab should be. They did hover nice, but 3D performance was up to s*?t because the elevator and rudder were never in the same place twice.
There are planty of ways of getting around the problem ie. wires, thicker fuse, X type fuse. But honestly they were too easy to hover, what am I saying too easy to hover, thats what I want.
