I've been flying mine with Wildcat 10% nitro, 18% syn/castor blend with no problems. Saito and Magnum. I'm going to try a gallon of YS 20/20 just for curiositie's sake, more than anything. I've read on more than one occasion that four strokes like more nitro. We'll see.

4 bangers like high oil and nitro content. I would go with a YS20/20 fuel.

I have several Saito's and have found the hard way, Caster fuels can cause sticky valves and rings. Synthetic oil is very good for four strokes. After run oil is also needed!

If you are not going to be using a fuel with castor oil, MAKE SURE you use after-run oil after each flying session. The bearings WILL rust quickly without it. At least my Saito did...

I used 15% Wildcat in my 4 strokes...

Default YS 20/20 Wildcat - Byron

I have a few four stroke engines.

Saito 30, 91, 180
YS 53

I use Wildcat YS 20/20 in all these engines and they run like a charm. They are as clean inside and out as the day I bought them.

The first few tanks through the Saito 180 (my first 4-stroke) was Morgan 4-stroke 15%. The green stuff which is suposed to be pure synthetic, or so I thought. The muffler was covered in black crap after the days flying, which I found very strange for a synthetic fuel. I have been a synthectic only user since about 1969, when Castrol Super M came out. I got the LHS to phone Morgan and sure thing there is castor in Morgan 4-stroke fuel. I was pi#$%$ed! I will never again use Morgan fuel.

I have used up 18 gallons of this YS 20/20 over the last two years and am very pleased with the results.

My 2 cents.

RSN

P.S. I use Automatic Transmision Fluid and Air Tool Oil mixed 50/50 for years with no rusting problems. Make sure to do this in the fall if you put them away for winter storage.

Castor oil will not harm your four-stroke if you run it with the proper semi-rich mixture. I've been using it for years without a problem. Run it too lean and it will varnish. This is not a problem on engines with separate cylinder heads. Saitos and some YS engines utilize a one piece cylinder and head design. For them, cleaning is a pain.

As someone else said, if you run straight synthetic, you might want to use an after run oil.

Four-strokes utilize nitro better than two-strokes. But they do not need it to run well. My OS .20 four-stroke runs just fine on 5% nitro fuel. It is one of the best four-strokes that I have ever owned, and I've owned more than a few.

I use Byron's 15%/16% 4-stroke fuel in my Saito-91. It runs great on it with no problems.

Without a doubt, Wildcat 10% Nitro 18% Synthetic/Castor blend is a great fuel for four strokes. I ran my OS 70 Surpass on it and my Saito 72 with absolutely no problems. I hear the Saitos like the high nitro like the 30% Heli fuel but at $30 a gallon, the wildcat 10% (13$ a gallon) sounds much better.
