Okay guys....first of all....this is TailSpnr. I cant seem to get logged back on as me but I do have some photos of 2 of the participants on Friday night as they stopped by my house for some beer and steak on the way to Indiana.

I'll start with Gator........he's pretty intense right here trying to concetrate on flying the little indoor saucer the "Vectron". We had so many laughs watching these guys try to fly it that night night that our sides were hurting.

Notice the one similarity here is the look of a few too many beers

And notice if you will that Pauly not only has the look of too many beers but not enough sleep the night before.

So lets here the rest of the stories and see the rest of the Internet Fly-In pictures. Sorry I couldnt make it but I felt obligated to my own club's "Cruisade for Childeren Airshow". I'll share some nice photos of our event as well. With the exception of the my crashed Magic photos. Yeah...I felt compelled to demonstrate to the crowd what a solid impact with pavement will do to balsa wood.

And Billy Shaw.........and notice the little guy down on the lower right corner. That's Triston Cline, a 6 year old pilot who's sponsored and flies a 30% fiberclassics.

Gator and Swany stopped by to see me on their way up there. I gave them the $5 tour of Hobby Lobby and then we went out and flew some before they headed on up the road. I'll post pics later this week. I wish I could fly with these guys everyday. It's great to see someone do what you are trying to do. It makes it seem more attainable!

Hey guys... Saturday was AWESOME!

We had almost 90 registered pilots with almost 200 flying planes. The weather was perfect however today was pretty much a wash out.

I'll post all the detailed stats within the next couple days on the Internet Fly-In site. If I remember correctly we had pilots from 12 different states which blew my mind.

I've created a new album on the Internet Fly-In sote for anyone to upload pictures from this years event. If you have alot of them just zip them up and email them to [email protected] otherwise you can upload them one at a time at http://www.internetflyin.com/gallery...ls.php?album=2

Thanks to everyone who came, it was a blast and I'm already thinking about how we can make it better next year.

I attended the internet fly in on Saturday and had a blast. The weather was perrrrrfect and the company even better. I got to fly the Extreme flight RC 90 size ARF edge profile. All I can say is you better get in line for this one guys. I really liked its characteristics and nothing can beat it in that size ARF plane. I also flew their 85" extra 330 ARF with DA 50, it was a real treat. It flies like a much bigger plane, the 3D capabilities for that size are awesome. Most planes this size snap out on you, not this one. Hats off to extreme flight for some nice planes.
There was one midair on Saturday between Tim Mills GP 33% extra 330 and a Robin hood. Both planes were lost but nobody got hurt. Both planes fell harmlessly into an open area.
I was also amazed at the amount of fliers now performing and/or attempting 3D flight. It is the kind of flying I enjoy so it is nice to have others to share that. Also the Johnson County fliers have a beautiful facility and accomodated us well. Jeff Williams

Default Hey Jeff....

Is was nice meeting you this weekend.

As far as Gator and Paul.....they were the last ones flying when I left the field today. Those guys will fly in any weather, or any amount of winds. Couple of real nice guys, great pilots, and awesome looking planes.

Look forward to hooking up with them again sometime.

Our group had a blast. Rain didn't stop us, we pitched a tent and by 9 or so on Friday night it stopped raining and we got some sleep. I didn't get to meet near the people I intended too, but I put alot of faces with the names now. I did have the pleasure of meeting WreckRman2 with a buddy of mine at 6:30 AM (yes, AM) in a McDonalds.

We got to have a conversation with the Extreme Flight guys friday night, and they sold us on their planes, they're very very light and fly incredible.

Here's a shot Saturday Morning at 5:30 AM

Kevin, Patrick and I had a blast! It was definitely worth the drive up from Atlanta. Met lots of cool people and got in a lot of flying. Thanks Pugs for putting us up at your pad, and to all the guys who organized the event. It was great to attend an event where 3D flying was welcomed. Already looking forward to next year.

We just made it back to Atlanta around 11:00 PM....about an 8 hour drive. All I can say is it was definitely worth the trip.

Thanks to Jon U for letting us crash at his house.

If you like profile birds, this was heaven.

The fellow named Gator has some kick-ass schemes on all of his planes!

Wayne put on a great 3D show! We met Wayne in Atlanta a few years ago and he was just starting to learn 3d. He has come a long way in a short period of time.

The field is outstanding.....flat, only a few trees, cool Army helicopter flyovers, a golf course to buzz, and even occasional, no ****, Howitzer gun fire in the distance.

I will definitely be back.

One thing about the Extreme Flight Edge 540 Profile....It was about 70% of it's original self. Me and Patrick have wrecked/rebuilt it 3 times due to engine troubles down low. Any way, it's packing an extra 8 oz of epoxy and ply. It's also a little bent which was causing some pitch/roll coupling and trouble in waterfalls. Chris was supposed to have a factory fresh one, but wrecked it at the Nall doing it's maiden flight at night.

Was so busy flying, didn't even pull out the camera to take pictures.

The show was totally kick butt, I'd like to say thanks to Jeff W. for bringing and offering to sell me a profile Su Da Koi, but after watching these guys torque roll Sledge 540's all day I am leaning towards buying one of them.

It was great meeting Jeff Williams, 3Dreaming, Wgeffon, The Kat, Gator, and Paul Swany, and seeing many others. They are all super cool.

Paul and Gator even let me fly there planes a bit, Paul sold me a ff TACO, that little bird is a blast to fly, I can't wait to get it kitted up.

It was a real treat watching all the 3D flying, it humbles you real quick when you see how good some of these guys really are.

I got tons of video clips of Jeff, Gator, Paul, Wgeffon, and a few others, if anyone wants to see them I can e mail them to you.

Hoverit,

Nice meeting you saturday.
I want any video you have.. Send as many as you can to me.
Thanks.

For anyone who wasnt there...
There was a lot of 3D'ing going on for sure. There was also a lot of non 3D. I thought all types of planes flew together nicely with no moaning about flying styles.

This is how its supposed to be and is the main reason the event was such a success.
