The Uproar is not a good plane too do 3d with but is great for general aerobatics. Notice i didn't say it wouldn't do 3d just that its not ideal for it. lol Great plane an the price is right you ll be happy with it.

Honestly I would think about getting and OMP edge. I have owned 4 uproars and 3 dazzlers and this one is easier to fly and way more capable.

The price is right to for $60.00

hey thanks for the comments so far. i thought of another question though. would a magnum xl .46 engine be enough to make this plane as capable as possiable. I would like to try and learn to hover and all that good stuff with plane and the magnum is the engine i have available right now except a .61 4 and i think that would over do it. not shur any oppinions.

The 46 would be a great engine for the airplane.

I have tried and tried and tried to get mine to hover. It can be done but you have to be johnny lightning with the rudder because if it starts to fall you cannot get it back, there is just not enough fuselage area.

Second the dazzler and the uproar have a VERY weak spot just in front of the wing. They have been know to break in half with a hard landing.

After I finished the OMP edge I can hover my plane right in your face for a full tank of fuel and then reach out and pluck it out of the air!!!!

If you insist on getting an uproar PLEASE contact me and I will give you some useful mods that myself and others have tried.

The uproar is a great plane for sport aerobatics. Great roll rate and killer snaps. It is a really good all around sport plane, not much of a 3-D machine though.
Just happens that I have one ready to fly for sale here in Memphis, drop me a line maybe we can work something out.

I/ve had two uproars and used a st 51 and had plenty of power for them. If you want 3-D go with the omp 540, i have one of these now on a saito 72 and it is much more capable than the uproar. If more pattern flying is desired the uproar is fine. I enarged the rudder on the second one, but did not notice a large difference. The wings are fixed on both so transportation of either is the same......

Not good for advanced aerobatics, but good for sport aerobatics.
Just plane sucks for 3D aerobatics. Advances aerobatics would be point rolls (4,8,16) Rolling circles/loops and throwing some snaps and spins in between just to name a few. Is this what you are looking for? If so the uproar is'nt a good choice. Many of the beginner 3D trainers like the Magic are not good for that either.
The OMP Edge is good choice

I have not been flying long a little over a year or 2 and am just looking to get into something better than what a avistar and four star can do. I love both of these planes but want to start trying out some basic aerobatic stuff and thought this might be a good plane to start with
I have also taken the advice of sevral and went ahead and ordered the omp edge I am very excited about getting that.
