2nd. Annual Thistledown flyers night of thunder, Night fly
Just wanted everyone to know that July 19 is the date of our night fly in Napoleon Ohio. Flying starts around 12:00 noon on Saturday. The hog roast starts at 5 PM. And open flying from around 6 PM till dark at that time we’ll turn on the stadium lights and fly till the cows come home. Heli’s are always welcome at thistledown’s. There will be raffles threw out the night as well as 50/50 drawings. Make sure you bring your favorite music for the sound system that will be provided. Also if you, and or, your family want to camp, we have facilities available with electric, this will be on a first come first serve basis, there will also be a camp fire. So load up the family and come on down. We are located ˝ mile north of the old Wal-Mart in Napoleon Ohio. If you have any Q’s you can E-mail me at [email protected]
On behalf of all the member’s of the thistledown flyers we are looking forward to seeing you on July 19

I've been to the last two, and it's an absolute blast. They set up stadium lights, and if you've got something that flies fairly slow (trainer, fun-fly, electrics, PBF, QHOR, hovering 1/3 scale etc.) it's no problem staying well within the lighted area. If you've got lighting on your plane/heli, all the better, as they'll shut the lights off completely for these types. If you've never flown at night, it's truely an awesome experience, and Jeff & crew make sure everyone has lots of fun.

Well this was once again an awesome event! Jeff & co. made sure everyone had a great time. Here's some pics.....
One of the flight line. The runway was 900ft. Lots of room, & lots of great people.

A plane soon to be kitted all 1" foam, and not much else. Ply reinforcements here & there, no covering, and zip ties in critical areas. OS 1.6 for power. Flew surprisingly well.

A big OMP Edge540 gettin low with the waterfalls. A few of these there, and some smaller ones to, the things are totally awesome.

Last one, TNT landing gear sponsored the midnight fireworks display. Flying continued afterwards, was a great time.
