Can't correct roll coupling with max rudder on Magic - what's the point in having it?
Not just the Magic either. I go to great lengths to get 45 degree throw on the rudder. I mix out the roll coupling (and pitch coupling) on my 9C. Works pretty good to about 30 degrees. But above that it is pretty "unpredictable". Either it corrects for a while, then go nuts or varies depending on the speed. I have 5 point mixing so I can make the coupling different as the rudder increases.
To me, it seems like I'd be better off with 30 degrees and good control than 45 with "I wonder what'll happen this time" control.
What do others do? Can you get the coupling out?
