cant decide
get the Morris™ " hot hots" (short) $39.95 no plans (and that sounds nutty in itself. say they are $15 bucks more for those)).....or the Morris™ "the knife" for $89.95... very similar..
i just want a very low effort but not expensive profile i can stick my half beat OS FX-H .46 on so i can have some hovering type fun. i have a few planes already but no little profile yet.
what do ya think>?
both look like a gas... and for 40 bucks the Hots seems like the ticket

Can't decide
I have the Hot Hots and it flys beautiful. I also have the OMP 540 P . I can't pilot either one to their capacity but I give the OMP 540 the vote. I have the new Magnum 52 XLS on the 540 and the vertical is out of sight. If I remember the 540 was $60.00 but I changed the wire landing gear to composite, and that added a few $. I would say you probably would be happier with the 46 on a pipe for a better climb out from hover.

Ya its more fun to hover planes, making something do what it is not naturally supposed to do is lots of fun. And here's omp's site

You can also buy the sledge as a short kit and then pick your own wood, for the rest of the plane. You get the plans, all the cut pieces, and hardwood motor mounts, for a pretty good price. The omp edge is a good deal but it doesn't come with any hardware, and the wire gear is kindy flimsey, but it does work. Where as the sledge kit or the Knife kit come with full hardware, and decent gear. If its your firts profile and you are wanting to learn to hover I would get a Knife. The other to are good but a knife is a little more forgiving. Just my thougts. I once had a knife and loved it. I got my first rudder bump with that plane! I miss it But wait, now I love my sledge too!

If you go for the Ohio, as I did, I was advised to angle the airlerons at the fuselage, keeps them from digging in and damaging the side. I copied the elevator angle and didn't like it, split the difference now looks good. Put a set of Krazy Legs on it. I used an Irvine 46, for some reason I needed the extra weight. Now that it is trimmed I will probably move the engine back a 2/1 inch. Gator wanted to try that but we ran out of time.
