My manual says 3/8" for low rates but nothing on high. I am setting my high rates to 45 deg of throw for all surfaces with about 60% expo. I was told that there are two versions of manual out there with different cg range recommendations. What cg range is recommended in your manual ?

Barn doors baby, make them swing wide! I have my cg about 5 1/2", haven't tried it farther back yet.

Low rates about 3/8 on elevator and ailerons.

High rates:

Ailerons: 35% - could be more - especially for hover.
Elevator: 40% - could also be a little more.

My radio rudder has no dual rate switch and is about 40% - pretty nice compromise.

It's twitchy on high. I'm constantly in and out of high and low rates during flights... Like going in and out of "normal" and 3D.

No expo.
