I ran across this pic I took of Jeremy (jnjacksn) at the Elliot fly-in and thought it looked kinda neat. He'd repeatedly go about 200'-300' this low; he touched the rudder a couple of times too! (and the prop once
but he managed to roll it over dead stick and landed on the mains)

inverted pases are the coolest. I once borrowed an aircore from a friend and mounted a 46fx. I had the plane for about two weeks. the plane is heavy and really not good for much so to amuse my self I would fly the flight inverted bringing it down as low as I could with out landing it that way. inverted it had little elevator responce below full throttle so I had to come by with the throttle opened. a few times I scraped the tail on the black top not meaning to just trying to keep it low. a few times I landed it inverted. I have a 46 with a shaved head....

EXTREMELY LOW yet short inverted pass...(Some might say Too low-)
Anyone on channel "19"?
Do I look lighter? I should, since I am 1 plane shy of when I left this morning-
Anyone got a Magic or profile for sale cheap?
Take it easy folks..

i've been so low that the fin is on the ground.
when that happens the elevator cant push the tail down and you cant recover, a inverted landing has to be done, i have broken 2 needle valves doing just that!

well i once owned a plane that flew better upside down, so I just mounted the wheels on top.... reversed the rudder servo. and elevator... and away she went... flew much better inverted I had lots of fun with that plane.. Of course I got lots of static about it at the field... they wanted me to figure out why it flys better that way and correct it.. I told them.. Why when it flys so well inverted!

I don't have much time to fly but I amused myself the other night, with school being out I was flying in the parking lot with my taco ff. I keep my wheels on with fuel tubing and must have forgot to put it back on 'cause when I took off both wheels rolled off in different directions. The taco takes off in 5 feet so it was in the air before i knew what happened, but the look I got from the noob I was with was priceless. So anyway, i flew the tank out and came in to land and perfect, just kinda screeched to a stop with full up elevator. we laughed for a while then i refilled, well I just had to try....took ten feet! screech screech screech. O.K. what now..ahhhh touch and goes, screech screech. As it started getting dark it started sparking a little. Just alot off fun.

Stratcat98,
That reminds me of the time my main gear fell off from my Big Stick 40. I tried to land real soft and it worked so well that I took off again - with only the nose wheel. Now that's a tail dragger! I ended up doing about 10 touch and go's that way. What a blast!

I just ran across this link, I thought I was the only one that does this stuff!!!
My favorite way is to go low and slow, inverted, and make the bird do a harrier fly-by.
My first plane that I used for this maneuver was my Sig Fazer.
The one I am working with now is my Morris Hobbies Top Cap.
I love it when all of the older pilots at the field take bets on how soon I'm going to plant my Cap. Sometimes I wonder too!!
See ya,
kenny
