Fazer dies today
I lost my SIG Fazer today to Flutter on the tail surfaces. I was running a TT 46 pro and it took of like a rocket. for some strange reason it pitched up. the engine revved higher and I gave a little down elevator. it then flipped nose down, and screamed for terra firma. at that point a guy at the field yelled, "you got flutter". He wasn't kidding. the rudder was flapping in the wind like a flag. I cut the throttle and gave a little up elevator to try to level it out. At this point I was about 100' off the ground. still pointed straight down. Very fast. Then I lost all elevator control, and I noticed both tail surfaces fluttering. I'll post pics of the damage, but I may not rebuild it. Time is a factor here with other projects on the table. I may just get a new profile.
