Default Flat spin, Flaperon mix?

Good day!

Finally getting the flat spin down. I went to show my cousin the stick positions and forgot the elevator flaperon mix was on. FUNKY! It was doing some real weird things before I realized what was going on.

Has anyone fooled w/this function in the flat spin? It looks as though it is making the main wing try to go up above the horizontal stab. I'm not sure what the plane is trying to do. It appears with a little stick time you could do...........something.

If anyone has done this and can offer an explaination as to what is happening I'm all ears.

Thanks for any input.

Default Flat spin, Flaperon mix?

I like using flapperons for flat spins..... Makes the spin tigher and looses altitude less or even climbs if you do it just right...

Default mixing in the spin

same here, I usually fly the funfly's with the mix on all day.It seems to hold the nose up more in the flat spin.

Default Flat spin, Flaperon mix?

Thank you for the response.
I still consider myself somewhat of a newby.
In the computer Tx, the flaperon mix is maxed out. If this is what you guys do then it's a matter of finesse and stick time.
Do you have ANY idea the ratio/mix?

Thanks

Default Flat spin, Flaperon mix?

I have them on a switchable mix. I have the mix maxed out for maximum deflection and my plane doesn't like the mix on in a flat-spin. ....for those of you that use the mix on a flat-spin are you using maximum throws on the ailerons when the elevator is maxed out ???

On some planes I use spoileron to smooth out a wobbly flatspin. The plane falls a little faster but much more gracefully.

Some planes I drop the flaps in an upright flatspin and the plane does seem to fall slower but it could be my imagination

Default Flat spin, Flaperon mix?

Hi geoharry.

Define "spoileron" please. Is this flaps/ailerons up?

Spoilerons are ailerons UP. Some planes don't like to fall into a stable flatspin (could be my thumbs), the spoilerons seem to help but the effect is not dramatic.
