Latest plane finished

Just finished a Florio Flyers Stuntwagon. Old school Kit from 1991. It has the recommended OS .32 SX in it. Covering is doculam over open areas, silkspan over everything, paint and catalyzed clear polyurethane for fuel proofing. Maiden flight to come soon.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rcu...68add342a4.jpg

Speed is not the goal for that plane. The thick airfoil and large control surfaces are for stunts at low speeds. This also allows for slow takeoffs and landings. A 10x4 prop is an excellent start.

I wish you were local so I could assist in the test flight.

Looks like the maiden will be held off for quite a while. We are looking at buying a house in Texas, and are in the middle of all that. Flying will be on hold for a while.

I do have a question for the southern boys, I'll be putting a shop inside a large metal building. The shop will be insulated, etc, however the building is uninsulated.
When I put in the shop, the top of it will be a storage area. Would it hurt my planes to be up on the storage under an uninsulated metal roof in North Texas?

Thanks, Sam

yes, they will melt. can you make the insulated ceiling higher and store the planes inside?
