What is that, about 8" square!? :D

In the 1/2A forum, Dickeybird has built a 1/2A PBF but built it up from balsa, hasnt flown it yet. Interested to hear how your flies too!

A guy at our field built one of these for me. It flys great. It's a lot faster and a little twitchy but still very fun like it's bigger brother. He used 2mm to make a hollow, very light, fuse. I LOVE IT!!

Here's a shot of my E-PBF. It's geared sp 400 with an 8-cell pack. It weighs in at 13.74 oz. My first one made from 2mm coro weighed over 16oz and was kind of doggy. This one flies much better but it still needs more power. I can only pull out of hover in the first 30 seconds or so of the flight. Any later than that and the battery has fallen off too much. It will still hover, I just have to let the nose drop and fly out. I have crashed it twice flying it in my front yard. The trees keep getting in the way! It has survived unhurt both times. It has done a spin into the grass that I couldn't save but it survived that as well.

It will but only for about the first thirty seconds of the charge. I get about 5 minutes out of a charge, most of which I can hover and maintain altitude.

PS it is 18" square giving 324 square inches and a wing loading of 6.1 oz/square foot.

I built one from 3/16" fom-cor board with 10-cells and an endoplasma, 4.6 gearing and 12X8 "E" prop. Weight was 46 ounces and it would easily pull from hover untill the very end of the charge (average 8 to 9 minutes due to the extremely low throttle during most of the flight, hover was about 35%~40% throttle). Too many flat spins into the ground and it was just too beat up. Must build another one though,.. lots of fun :) . the smallest i've seen was posted in a thread on ezone, made of 3mm depron, i think it was 5" square with a KP00 motor and magnetic actuators. Just under an ounce ready to fly. They had some video posted of it flying in a gym.

How about more info on your E-PBF?
GB ratio, battries, prop, current draw, flight time etc.
I'm trying to finalize size and motor details for a Fan-Fold E-PBF.
