Flying Machine
Looking for a Flying Machine, built or kit. This is the kind of plane flown by Don Middiman(SP?) built from Precision Minature Aviation? Any leads? TIA, Andy

Don Muddingham, the designer, has a web site which can lead you to a source of plans or kits. Do a search and you should be able to find it.

The designer of the Flying Machine is Don Muddiman, but he doesn't make or sell the kits.
The man who makes the Flying Machine kits is Don Miller, who goes by "miderror" here on RCU. Just do a member search for "miderror", and then send him an email to see if he has any FM kits ready to ship. (I'm surprised that miderror himself hasn't responded to this thread.) |
Super Model
Dave, I have admired that picture of your departed flying machine for so long. When are you going to build another one?

Thank you rcman! The Flying Machine in your avatar looks great too!
I'd sure like to get another Flying Machine going, but I don't know when I'll ever get around to it. So many different Fun Fly and 3D planes out there........and so little time. :) |

I'll call over to the guy who I gave the plane and plans to.
I believe on the plans there might have been some contact info.. i'll post again tomorrow. I should have kept the plane longer. I was having a hard time with the wheels in the photo. they weren't rolling to well over the rough black top on our runway. took off the gear two times that day trying to get off the ground. finally decided to hand launch it ( right into the ground). damaged the nose. after that I was so agrivated I gave it away. I had a rossi 45 on it which was not the right engine for this plane. it didn't need such a power house and definately didn't need all that weight in the nose. BUT with that power to weight ratio you should have seen the vertical. a good 46 would be great on this plane. |
