Well Project General is on hold cause the steering design is confusing and im still not decided on the rear axle..
But i started another. Project NIKKO!
it is a 1.10 scale nikko car that came witha HPI body. 20 turn motor stock.
I have a Futaba pistol and receiver.. The steering servo is already installed. Ordered a 14turn Quad wind motor and a ASSiciated 14turn+ ESC and a robinson ultra light 17T 48P gear for the motor.
Im gonna get a new body for it, new rims, and possibly some neons etc etc. Hopefully they will be here soon. Atleast once project will be done lol

Had to cut some to make the ESC cooling head to fit and had to cut the battery holder a bit cause i wante to use my 3000mah 7 cell hump battery.
I am chargin as we speak and I will see how it performs.. IMO the 14T Quad wind seems a little weak. my mind might change with 8.4V

1st test at 730pm outside and dark
test went great, upon wot it spins in circles at 3/4 throttle and i punch it i loose traction and spin out so I have to slowly go from 0-100%
motor is running cool so far, ESC got hot, i dont remember if that is normal?
one prob is that it started smoking.. I pulled the cover off went inside and investigated. TUrns out the 7 cell battery WIRE was burning into the chassis. I am charging my 6 cell as of now and gonna run that and see how it goes.. My guess would be 35mph.
If the 6 cell works out. I might cut out the Middle section and replace it with a sheet of alum as part of the chassis and have everything bolt onto there. A cooling plus also it would be.. ESC needs cooling bad to!

IM BACK! Duratrax INtellispeed 12T ESC.
I put the 8.4v battery in it and hoped for the best!!!
After severly beating on it the temps are as followed
Outside temp. 20deg
Inside temp 68deg
ESC temp 96.8deg
Battery temp 142.4
Motor Temp 145.6
What is the max temp a motor and bat can get before damage?

dont do burnouts on a wood table. those are BURN marks. the table started smoking

i was ACTUALLY doing a burnout. yes the tire was smoking a bit

There is my esc mounted on a ALum plate i made.. RX is mounted on the rear

tire after math, i think i ruined it

HAHA my nikko had an HPI body on it. I dunno what that was about. I know it looks like ****, I kinda wanna make an all alum chassis but imo thats a hassle. All i know is i want higher top speed and WAY better grip in the rear. I think 1.25" foams will solve that. It would suck if it would blow away my nitro mammoth
