Starting the PST 600R
Having some problems starting the PST 600R. It seems as tho it's getting to much propane as it will not ignite until about the 3rd attempt, if then. If it does ignite then we must add propane to continue the start as it is all used up on the previous tries. I couldn't find a way to adjust the Propane flow. Is there a way or not? Also what is the recommended glow plug and voltage?
Thanks,
Galen

RE: Starting the PST 600R
Hi Galen,
Try OS No. 3 glow plug with Glow Plug value set at 220-250. Are you using propane/butane mix? It is also possible that you have not filled the gas canister fully. Purge the gas canister briefly (to lower the canister temperature) then try to refill again. Make sure that the liquid propane/butane goes into the canister (you can see this if you use clear refill tube) and that the canister is sitting upright. Keep filling until the liquid movement stops. Another test is to bypass the on-board gas canister and connect the propane/butane bottle directly to the gas solenoid. If the engine starts normally, then the problem is with the gas canister not being filled up properly.
