Shawn,

I guess I'd have to help you out since no one has reply yet.

Anyhow... for the GRRT FAI .40 Pylon engine, it should be run with a pipe and there are several different size props you can use. However, depending on the plane and weight, you may have to experiement with these recommended props.

Try APC 8x6, 8x7, 8x7.3 D-1 Hub, Carbon Fiber 7.5x7-7.5 and APC 7.4x8. With these props you will know what's best for your plane. I've used mostly the 8x7 or 8x7.3 on my Quickie plane and my GRRT .40 turn over 22,000+ (which is low due to load) on the ground, but when it unloaded in the air... it's scream!

As for the fuel and plug... I used 15% nitro and McCoy #9 cold plug. Although, you can run the alcohol or 5% nitro with good result. Hope this help a little.

Hi Speedman,

The engine that I used with the Quickie plane is a MVVS FAI GRRT .40 with a tuned pipe (not Quickie 500 engine). It's timed for high rpm and tuned pipe use.

What kind of help do you need with your engine?

Sam
