Tough call, I'd say the two most popular in the US today are the Sweet Vee and the Proud Bird 2. Although there are plenty of others that are competitive, including the Two Small,
Too Sweet, Loki, Polecat, Vendetta, Ashly, and I'm probably forgetting a couple.

I've been a long time Vendetta fan, but my next model would probably be a Proud Bird 2 or most likely a Sweet Vee just because its less money.

Speaking of the Vendetta, I've built a few and have noticed that the fuselage left and right sides are not symmetrical, especially at the wing trailing edge! How do you build these things straight?

I've never had an issue with the symmetry of the Vendetta fuse. My only concern with the plane is that the Vertical tail fin is a tad small and the first turn on pylon one has to be gentle because when the plane is not up to speed it is not rock solid. At full speed, the Vendetta is as fast as anything out there.
