Default Silly Question

Has anyone ever tried putting an OS 25 in a Q40? Thinking about how well that engine will fly a Viper. I really like these planes, but I am not sure I could handle the speed. Anyone have any out of date non competitive (cheap) planes they want to get rid of?

.25FX works great in a Viper.

Eric, did you do the LR-1 .32 plane? My buddy is working on one for the Speed Rally and is torn weather or not to add a rudder.

I've flown several Q-40 models with the Thunder Tiger 40 motor and 9 x 6 APC prop.

They fly very well with that combination.

The issue I had to learn was landing. These turn into a glider after the engine is shut off.

I don't think a standard 25 with muffler would be the best combination.

A Viper Q-500 does work fine with a 25. Your area is flying Q-25 models and they do work well.
