race in rockford
bobo,
Yes, the Rockford race has been around for many years. They have a great flying site (If you stay out of the corn), and put on a pretty good race.
I believe there will be at lest 5-6 people coming down from Minnesota.
I like the race because you can get 5-6 heats in per day against good competition, and its only a 5 hour drive. Please support this race, I'd hate to see it go away.

Is this a 428 only race?
Do they run any 424?
Is there a website with race info, I don't see anything listed on the NMPRA site...
So many questions, so little time...

A.J.--
Rockford runs 424 races as part of a series we run in IL & WI. Check out our site www.q500424.com. The schedule for next year will probably be very similar to the one posted for this year. Hope you can make it up for some lefties sometime!

Nice series
Mick,
I've seen your site from the link on NMPRA, that's why I thought this might possible have some 424 action as well. Very impressing series ya'll have put together. There a couple races with in 500 miles of KC that I think I can make. I'd really like to come fly on 20th at Brillion but it may be a little tough to sell a 700 mile one way trip to my lovely caller Michele.
We can do 500-550, but 10-11 hours one way is tough...
Next season, we'll definitely have to go a few rounds, sorta speak...
Any other 424 races in Iowa, Indiana, or somewhere closer for the remainder of this season?

RE: race in rockford
Just a reminder about the race in Rockford this weekend. Saturday and Sunday, two 1 day events with an overall winner also.
Hope to see you there. It looks like 6-8 people will be coming down from Minnesota.

RE: race in rockford
8 of us made the 6 hour trip down yesterday, and promptly made the 6 hour trip back home today. The weather looked questionable when we left, and got even worse down in Rockford. Looks like it will be raining clear through the weekend.
Cya next year.
