North Texas Pylon Race Q25/C40 and EF-1 20 June 2015, Mansfield, TX
North TX Pylon Race #2 , Saturday, June 20, 2015
The 2nd race in the N.Tx. Pylon Racing Org's 2015 Q-25/Club 40 & EF-1 Pylon Racing series is June 20, 2015.
This will be a Two (2) Pylon Course, 400 feet between Pylons.
We will be alternating classes between Q-25/Club 40 & EF-1.
We will fly the Q-25's and the Club 40's in the same heats since previous head-to-head testing has shown that the airplanes are essentially the same speed when flown smoothly.
The fuel will be 15% and you must provide your own fuel (we will trust you, if you win by using greater than 15% fuel, you aren't a winner, just a cheater)
June 20, 2015, at the Golden Triangle Club Field.
Registration will begin at 10 AM, 11 AM will be a short pilot meeting and then the 1st Heat Race.
Registration will be $15 per event and $5 for lunch.
Jim Fulton Field, 2820 Seeton Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75054.
GPS either: 32.569747, -97.044464 or N 32 deg, 34 min, 11.09 sec, W 97 deg, 2 min, 40.07 sec.
Hope to see ya'll there!!

I'm going to drive out to Jim Fulton Field on Thursday afternoon after I get back from work. I'll see just how bad it is. Frank Cox sent Sarge and myself an email saying that there is significant water on the grass areas of the field and that the pylons would be in the water... hmmm. Maybe it will dry out, and maybe not. I'll let you know. I'll send out an email and post to the various forums whether it's worth trying to race or not. Tropical Storm Bill has caused Joe Pool lake to begin rising again. Same with Benbrook lake and T-bird field. But at least my grass is green!

Cancelled
Well, it's 5pm on Friday and only a very few thought that racing under these conditions would be a good idea. I agree. It would be nasty, so let's cancel due to the flooded field and just plan on getting together at HCRC in Austin next Sunday for the EF-1 race. See ya when it dries out!
