Default Glow Plug

What is the best or most favoured glow plug for the OS 46?

K&B makes a "HP" glow plug that we use in minnesota. I understand it's meant for ducted fans applications so it can take abuse. Otherwise the 3 or 8's that OS make work fine too.

K&B 1L still works fine.
K&B HP slightly better in terms of longevity
McCoy #9
Os #3 or #8

All work about the same. On some days, doubling up the copper gasket helps you out. You just gotta figure out what days that is

Hi Guys,
Have any of you tried the Blaster Plug made by Fox Mfg for R/C Cars and trucks? The work jsut like the K&B HP but a little cheaper. You want the low nitro version. The high nitro version is a little too cold.

Are you allowed to machine the head and use a Nelson plug?
