RE: GLOW PLUG FOR TT 40
You will probably get a few answers here, but here is what I like to use in the O.S. .46 for racing.
K&B 1L
K&B HP
O.S. #8
McCoy #9
All four are pretty good. I really don't see much of a difference between them, my favorite would be the K&B HP, but they are getting tough to find up here.

RE: GLOW PLUG FOR TT 40
Glowplugs that I have used in a Thunder tiger 46 have been varied, but the best in my mind is the ENYA NO 3........don't forget we use 4:1 fuel, and I run the engine exactly out of the box ie comp unchanged, and the baffle left in the muffler! Prop varies from APC 9x6, 9x7.......the odd time the APC 9x8. I have 2 engines and both run around the 16500 with the 9x6. depending on the revs and type of weather anything over 16500 is pointless and then the pitch gets increased. I have a 'testprop', in fact a 9x6 cut down to 7.75 diameter which I use to set the needle on the day.........indication also as to whether the pitch needs changing.
interesting the T/t i find need some good running in to perform properly- I gave mine about 10 tank fulls, slightly rich but high revs before actually racing them- the nip is good and plenty of bouncy compression. And, the engines have the golden/ honey coloured plugs which is how I like them. The oil I use is castor but I do rinse the internals of the engines with kerosene after a days racing. regards trevor h
