Default aileron differential

What will aileron differential do to the airplane and is it necessary or is it more of a preference thing??
thanks,
Jeff

There is more drag created by the downward deflecting aileron the the upward one, therefore the airframe has a tendency to yaw toward the draggy side, not good in rolling manuevers.

So you give the downward deflecting aileron LESS deflection than the upward one, at a certain differential the airframe will track true when rolling with out any yaw.

And how, Grasshopper, do you achieve this when you have only one servo and therefore cannot use "mixing" with your transmitter?
