Default Size engine

Help, I'm building a 1/4 scale dick Barron Stearman and the plans recommend a 41 quadra. I've read somewheree that that is a minimal engine for that plane. It has an 86" wingspan and weighs about 32-35 pounds. Would like enough power for some 3d work, but mostly sport areobatics. TIA Tom
