p-51d blue nose servos
Does anyone know if the Hitec HS-75BB retract servo can be used instead of the recommended JR RT88 servo.
This would be for the Hanger 9 Blue nose p-51d ARF.
Thanks, Steve

RE: p-51d blue nose servos
As Mike says, you can use the HS75, but be aware that you'll have to do some minor modifications to the retract to mount the servo. The RT88's are about 1/8" longer, so you'll have to figure out how to anchor one end of the HS75. There's a BlueNose build thread somewhere here or RCGroups that shows how a guy fit a pair of HS75's in the retracts.
You might check at a Hobbytown: I was in their local store and looked in the specials/clearance bin and surprise! RT88's for $10/ea. The local store here seems to be more interested in electrics, so they might have been clearing out servo's oriented toward retracts and glow-powered aircraft.
