Default Can't balance this prop

I'm trying to balance a 11x6 Master Airscrew prop, with a balancer that uses magnets. I added some CA to the light side, and it was slightly heavey, so I started sanding. Now sometimes the props is balanced, and then when Itest it again it's unbalanced. What am Idoing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. If the prop is that close then it is good to go.

The thing is though, sometimes one side completely drops still.

On a side note, the balancer I'm using only allows be to check the balance horizontally, because it isn't tall enough

For a prop that small, close is close enough

Actually I would agree that it is close enough for typical sport use. What you are seeing and what is causing the confusion is something that does not show up as easily with balancers that have higher friction and that is a slight off ballance from side to side and not end to end.

Yes even those can be balanced perfectly but it involves removing or adding material to the side of the hub and the process can involve a great deal of time also. Not really neccessary.

If at some point in the future you can get one of these, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXD712&P=ML , it is a good investment. If the prop you are balancing is to long, this balancer allows a configuration where the prop hangs outside the two supports. Then just place the balancer at the edge of a table/work bench and you can balance much longer props.
