Hitec/RCD Supreme Xtals
Hello All, I have 5 Hitec/RCD Supreme receivers on 72mhz and I have no idea what freq they are on. The Xtals are marked 61.850H, I haven't used these in years and I have lost the chart that told me what freq. the receiver was on. Anyone have a clue? Thanks, Dave

GB,
Some of the early crystals didn't have the pull tab with the number,, I always thought it was strange they had 61.xxx printed on them, but they worked fine.
Mongo
If you have the Receivers, don't you have the Transmitter to try??
You could always try and find a Spectra Module if you have a Module type Hitec or Futaba TX,, you'll find the right channel sooner or later
Last resort you buy new crystals,, they are cheap these days
good luck

A crystal with the pull tab, I can't recall the last time I have seen a Futaba or Hitec crystal without one unless it was pulled off, A Spectra Module as mentioned. {{AKA dial a crash}} At $100.00 I think going to the AMA web site would be a better way to go. This is out of one of my old Hitec Radios. The radio still works just fine and can be converted over to 2.4 if I wanted with the purchase of a 2.4 module.

When the hitec futaba compatible RXs first came out they looked like this.
I thought I had more but I could only find this one I marked #51 it marked 62.110
p.s.
A buddy of mine had the Dial a Crash in that same TX, and I had one on 75mhz for my cars/trucks when I first started racing, these was pre 2.4,, they worked great

I'd post the question in the Hitec support forum
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_53/tt.htm
Or call them Monday (858)748-8440

The 62xxxxxx etched number I beleve is related to the frequency sideband or some such and it is possible to figure the actual frequency form this number.
I am not an electronics enthusiast or cared much but a frequent poster here who does know is Rodney and I have seen him post about this in the past.
Bottom line for the original posters question is What do you have for TX, what channel is it on or what type of module? with this info we can possibly help with the best answers.

RE: Hitec/RCD Supreme Xtals
Don't bother looking for a chart that lists 62 MHz crystals, only 27, 50, 53, 72 and 75 MHz crystals are listed.
Actually, 62 MHz is the basic crystal frequency for double conversion receivers. The operating frequency (Channel)
is arrived at by adding or subtracting 10.245 or 11.155, then adding or subtracting .455 Mhz. That is what double conversion means
The various plus or minus calculations come up with non-RC channel numbers, however:
61.850 plus 11.155 = 73.005 minus .455 = 72.550 (Ch 38!)
