Default Do I need to use a silver undercoat on a fabric and Nitrate dope coverering

Do I need to use a silver undercoat on a fabric and Nitrate dope coverering for U.V. protection?
The covering is 100% Polyester dress lining, with 2 coats of nitrate dope. Will I have proplems with the sun ruinning the fabric if I don't use some kind of U.V. protection? I am planning on misting on some gray automotive primmer, before my color coats. Would silver be a suitavble base for color coats by itselve?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Silver was used when covering full sized planes for uv protection of the fabric. They usually sat out in the sun many years between covering replacement. Unless required for the paint application, I don't see why it would be needed for model planes

The amount of exposure is the part I never thought of. A few hours here and there is not even in the same ball park as a full size sitting in the sun for years.
I will just go with the gray primer.
Thanks again

The aluminum paint is also a filler, but the Auto primer does as good a job. I remember sanding those full sized jobs till I had no fingerprints left.
