Default Anyone have any luck or experience with Savox Servo's

Anyone have any luck or experience with Savox Servo's.....

Just got a Habu 32 and I am not feeling good about the JR MC-35 Servo's so I am taking a chance and setting up with Savox servo's

http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SH0255...avsh0255mg.htm

Anyone ever used Savox?

I hear from my LHS they are awesome, and they look good.

I have some Hitec micro MG servo's in a PA Extra MX but i am not happy with how they center.....

I am looking for a good metal gear servo for the Habu that will not break the bank

I prefer Digital.....but some features are hard to find in a micro.....Like ball Bearing[:@]

I am using the recommended JR servo on the rudder, of course

Anyone with experience on Savox servos that could weigh in here would be helpful

Thanks!

I believe some of the heli guys are using them. I can't say I've ever heard anything bad about them. Not saying you can't get a bad servo on occasion.

They make the Align servos and there's a ton of them in helis. Good value of performance versus price.

compaire to "Other" brands I know, in terms of quality.....Hitec, JR, Futaba?

I am trusting the most important surfaces in a $1200 Habu 32 to these micros. so I just want to be sure I have the "JR" or "Futaba" quality I am used too.

Thanks for the input.....

I would try them in an older plane first. It will put your mind at ease. I have some Align servos in a 3D plane. Like you said they are a great servo for the money. About 1/2 of a Futaba with the same or less specs. My only problem is the speed. I should have looked closer at the specs before I bought them. These are 3 times faster than what I normally use.

Those old guy reactions catching up with you??

I agree, stick them in a cheap test bed. I can't promise you results but I have Align servos in some very expensive helicopters and my thumbs have let me down long before the servos have.

The servo will only move as fast as your thumb. IMO, you feel more connected to the plane with a faster servo. Yes the surface WILL move faster but, like I said, how fast do you move your thumb?

Yes they only move as fast as your thumb. I only have 4 flights on the plane so far and the speed has not had any negitive effects. Check your surfaces on the ground though during pre flight, and you will think the ailes are going to flip the plane over. :-)
