Robart is coming out with Electric Retracts
I seen an ad in the AMA Magazine that Robart is coming out with electric retracts anybody have any insider info on them? I wonder if they will offer a conversion kits as well. I checked their web-site but couldn't find anything on them but the ad has a release date of 12/31/11.

Funny how that works. Several years ago at an IMAA event the electrics were just starting to show up. Maybe 8 or 9 years ago. They have really taken off in the last year or two. Now Robart is calling them the wave of the future?? What took them so long??
Today I had nothing to do so I went out to my shop to see if my old retracks worked or not and what I had on hand. I discovered I had worn the inside of the ram case out in one of my Spring Airs so I will have to send them in for repair. I found two sets of Robart air/air that were working like new. One set is even a 90 degree set. I may be using them on my next build.

RE: Robart is coming out with Electric Retracts
I'm interested. I have the E-flite 60-120 version, but I'd rather use the Robarts for the heavier ESM aircraft and use the E-flights for the 40-60 sized aircraft. About time someone mass produced the electric retracts! For me I believe electric retracts will be the way of the future. [8D] Smart Robart... very smart. They heard the call and now filling the need.

The electrically driven retracts seemed to cause interference issues on 72 but with 2.4 there doesn't seem to be that problem. Maybe that has something to do with this 're-discovery'!
