I have a UMS Technologies hydraulic landing gear system on my P-40 that has a timer switch on it that is adjustable for 10 - 20 seconds. It has gone bad and is no longer functioning. The only place I have been able to find one is at UMS Technologies in India. I have found the complete system at Hobby King, however, I did not want to purchase the whole system for $118.00. Has anyone else run across this problem? and if so, how can it be rectified? Is there anyone who has been able to find a similar switch as I am not having any luck myself? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

The timer switch stops the hydralic pump from continuously pumping while in the up or down position or it will create too much preasure.

AJ, did you find a replacement?
I am interested trying the hydraulic system, however it states the kit is for 2 wheels, and I have a tailwheel retract also. Can it be made to work? Would I need some extra parts?
Thanks,
V.
