Default LiFe batt for 6EXP

Hey guys,

I would like to upgrade my TX batt to a LiFe batt. I seen one on HK's site but it is on backorder and don't really want to deal with them.

So I am looking for a site or something that would have one at a really great price. I found one somewhere last week for about $15.00 but they wanted another $15 for shipping.

any ideas?

Life or Lipo??

Value Hobby sells both

p.s.
Personally I wouldn't use Life in a TX for how they drop off so fast,, I run a Lipo in mine. Only once in 2 years did I run it down to the low voltage warning..

LiPos drop off rapidly also.

I put the HK LiFes in my xmtrs and they are wonderful.
If they ever get down to 10.0 volts I will recharge them.

The only problem I have found is they are a tight fit
in my Hitec Flash V and Optic 6. They didn't realy leave
room for the plugs.

Good Luck,

LiFe's are the perfect TX battery, IMO. Recharge when they get to 9.9 volts and you'll never have a problem.

I was looking at the ones from HK, but that show backorder at the moment. But I will check out valuehobby.

One quick question. If I go with the LiFe batt, can I still charge it thru the radio, or would I need to pull it and put on the charger?

thanks guys

You will probably need to pull it out to charge.
You can't charge via the charge jack.
If you charge via the balance terminals you can leave it in
but will have to remove the back to get at the plug.

Good Luck,

They come with a balance tab, so it depends the charger you use as to if you need to unplug from the TX or not,, you do need to open the hatch..

I don't recomend charging from the wall charger port,, but I know several guys that use just the wall charger for thier TX Lipos,, Not me
