Default Analog and Digital Servos

Hi All,

I have been away from RC building and missed out on all the changes regarding Digital devices etc.
Im rebuilding one of my favorite models and want to get some new servos for the wings etc. I ordered
some micro servos on ebay, but have just discovered they are Digital.

My question is, are they compatible with my old 35MHz receivers etc.

Regards.

Jim.

Hi Jim

Both analogue and digital servos use the same electrical interface to the receiver, so the digitals you have ordered should work OK with your 35MHz rx

Digital servos will require more power to operate, so your batteries may not last as long. I am not sure what 35 MGZ is, so I am not sure if they will work with your recievers. Here in the States we have 72 MGZ, I think 53 MGZ, and now the latest is 2.4. Good Luck, Dave

Hi
They will work just fine. In Europe we use (up till a few years ago) 35Mhz for airplanes.

Thanks Guys,
for your replies. I will check to see if they publish the current draw for the servos, If not I will just get new batteries..

Yes digital servos use more juice.iIwould suggest using 6 volt rx packs. If you are not flying 3d analog servos would be fine.
