For the attention of Futaba 7C transmitter gurus. I have just about made myself available for the looney bin[&o] trying to figure out how to program my 7C to do this:
Using the tri-position switch “G” I want it to perform the functions as shown.
1) Switch pulled toward the pilot: Landing gear down for take-off, Flaps down for take-off.
2) Switch in center position: Flaps up after take-off, landing gear remains down.
3) Switch pushed farthest away from pilot: Flaps still up, landing gear up during flight.
On top of all this I would like to mix in a small amount of down elevator to compensate for possible “ballooning” when flaps are down.
I am using a 617 receiver and I really run into problems when activating flaperons. Flaps uses 2 servos that are "y" connected. Each aileron has it own channel (I usually use 1 & 6) but when flaperons are activated, there is no control of the flaps-aaaarrrrrrrggggg!!!! I thought about using channel 5 for the second aileron channel but I really didn’t want the variable channel six for flaps-I prefer flaps to be up or down only.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't think you should have the gear and flaps mixed together, as there could be an instance when you will want gear without flaps and vice versa. Program your gear on Ch5 and your flaps on ch6 and then you can do some mixing with a PMX that you create between the two. The flap/elevator compensation is already one of the factory PMX in the radio. Go in and find it and adjust it as required thru trial and error. I am sure there is a way to accomplish what you want, but it might be a serious challenge!

Daryll,
Thanks for the input - you are probably right about the flap/gear inter-operability - you are definately right about it being a serious challenge.
