Frequency/Channel # Chart ????
I fell into a Futaba transmitter/reciever package that has a clowdy history and cannot positively determine what freq the unit is on. The chips have 72.640 on them but no channel number.
My question: is theree a chart available that lists the frequency and the channel number associated with each frequency?? Would appreciate your input.[8D]
Thanks

RE: Frequency/Channel # Chart ????
The even number makes your unit pre-1986. Is it by chance a FP-4FN?
If it is an older AM unit you might better make it a display piece. Even if it is FM it's likely going to be tough to get it certified "gold" if you want to fly with AMA/FCC blessing.

Not to mention a unit that old has been through a lot of temperature and humidity cycles, not to mention the shock of being lugged back and forth to the flying field. It's not worth the cost of putting batteries in it, let alone worth chancing a signal failure and crash because of it.

RE: Frequency/Channel # Chart ????
Many thanks for the quick response...especially to Ray for coming up with the chart.
I wrote the initial post in a moment of haste and senior moment..........
my transmitter is a Futaba 6EXAP unit, but the freq chip plugged into the transmitter only shows 72.650. Someone (me??) wrote on the transmitter case "43". My friends at the field wanted me to accept Channel 43 as correct, based on the mysterious writing. I wanted no part of assuming that Channel 43 was correct without more definitive info.
Ray provided this chart.
THANKS
