If you are looking for an alternative to epoxy as a surface finish with or without glasscloth look for polyurethane pond/brick sealer. It is sold in the UK as G4.

It is not as strong as epoxy.

You can apply two or three coats a day.

It is less likely to give rise to allergic reactions.

Water for cleanup.

i didnt think there was a water based product . i guess its gotta stink or it isnt tough.
