Evolution 10 cc casser question.
Hi Guys Ive just bought an Evolution 10 cc gasser. The instructions are not clear on what type of two stroke oil to use, synthetic or mineral ? Can anyone help please. Bill []

Sure!
If you don't already know, be prepared for a LOT of black "goo" deposits from the engine as it breaks-in. It will take over a gallon before this starts to lessen ....but it will.
Also if you are using the stock muffler ,take it apart ,clean it ,and get some high temp silicone and coat the surfaces where they mate reusing all of the gaskets . Also put it on the washers on both ends of the bolt and some between the muffler and the engine along with the gaskets. You can't afford to have any leaks in the muffler.

Brian is 100% correct. Using the mineral oil for the first gallon will aid in seating the ring after that run the synthetics if you wish. Oil is a hot topic around here and for the life of me I just can't understand why. If you get a good name brand and mix as directed you can't go wrong. I have used oil from Klotz, Penzoil, Amsoil, Rock oil, Benoil, Sthil and even from good 'ole 7 11. I have NEVER had an oil related engine failure. IMO when guys abuse their engines the oil becomes the scape goat.
