No. All the different brands seem to require their own type of transmitter, Hitec only works with Hitec, Futaba with Futaba, Spectrum with Spectrum etc. However, Hobby King does sell receivers that do work with other transmitters. You can get some that will work with Spectrum, some with Futaba FAAST and of course the Fly Sky and FRSky as well as their own Orange transmitter which, I think is compatible with Spectrum receivers but check to make sure.

Why? Can't you sell the Spektrum receiver and put a Futaba one in there so you're standardized on one brand?

Hey cakes. Just go and check the price of a Tx and an Rx. As the others have said, buy a Futaba Rx. I'm sure you could find someone to buy the Spectrum Rx.

the frsky rx that are futaba compatible are under 30$ and they work great. actually I think they are better since they have 4 channel failsafes instead of the futaba 1
