Balsa USA stocks the K&S Streamline tubing. I recently picked up some with my balsa order.

As already stated above use K&S streamline tubing for the main part of the strut and if using the K&B 1/2" size then I suggest using Great Planes nylon strut fitting part #GPMQ4258 for the end mount pieces. They come 4 to a pack and cost about $2.49 per pack. They are white nylon with a 6-32 taped hole going length wise so they can also be used for tail support mounts. A small amount of reshaping/sizing will need to be done to make a snug fit into the teardrop shaped K&S tubing. Epoxie them in and polish the aluminum and you have a nice looking strong set of wing struts. You can paint the end mounts if you wish, leave them natural off white or as I just did, when polishing let the "dirty" aluminum polish get rubbed onto the nylon end for an antiqued effect. What type and size plane are you wanting to put these on?
