The 3010 has substantially more torque than the 3004.
Do you need it well probably not UNLESS you get into trying knife edge flight. In that case even the 3010 might be marginal and I would be tempted to go digital on 6 volts with something like the S 3051.
I used to be a total 3D hooligan and quickly learned that cheaping out on the rudder servo just would not do.
But if you only anticipate ground steering and the odd blip of rudder in a 4 point roll then the 3004 will do.

The 3010 is also a faster servo. For what I fly the 3004 works fine for the tail, but I like the 3010 for ailerons as it is a bit faster and more precise. I also tend to use it for rudder in my 4*120. The 3004 is my go to servo though fur just about any plane I have except my big one, thats all high torque digital, buy 4 3010 servos for the price of one servo, servo.
