Try shopping in Ebay RC model airplane parts. I have seen some there in the last few days in the long pointed style you want. I didn't click on them so I don't know what diameter they were ( there were more than just one up for auction).

Some pointed type plastics here at RJL, Mecoa:

http://mecoa.com/cb/spinners.htm

These are aluminium back plate types with a capture ring for the plastic.

Actually I feel any of the plastics are a mistake and most people move on from them eventually if the airplane sees active use and is survivor.

John, if those were made by CB aren't the cones the nylon and not plastic?? If they are the thick nylon there isn't any shatter problem like with the plastic type. They are just as heavy as aluminum though but a bunch easier to cut.

ok, First in line is the typical cheezy and cheap spinner that is included with most Arfs. Next in line in the middle is the CB associates spinner that I linked above and sold by RJL, Mecoa. Last on the right is a True Turn all aluminum and the cadilac of spinners.

Please note the all plastic ARF type on the left does not have a 'capture ring' to take the centrifugal loads such as rough starter usage. The CB partial plastic and the True turn both have this all important feature. A lack of this feature on the plastic is what I feel is a major contributor to exploding spinners with rough starter usage and not the formula and thickness of the plastic.

Acrtually the CB is only slightly heavier than the all plastic and its not the plastic that causes the difference but is the long adapter nut. Note I weighted all three with all the appropriate nuts, adapters and washers that would be used with each type.

My best recommendation to anyone is to always avoid the all plastic. If you must use a less expensive plastic then the CB is preferable but my choice is always the all aluminium,. I use both the Truturn but also The Dave Brown vortach spinners I believe they are called and are less expensive.

Well sorry but there are "longer pointed style plastic spinners" in that collection of CB spinners that I provided the link for and since he has indicated no size he will have to do his own shopping.

John, it's a small electric plane,, data on spinners and adapters for nitro engines isn't what he's looking for.

My experience with CB spinners are they are heavy,, well made, but heavy compared to others

Ah ha I did not enlarge the OP's photo, that's the problem when the fellows give insufficient information. Note Scale that the electric prop spinner you linked has a Capture ring, that's a good thing even on an electric.

As far as the CB spinners being to heavy well look at the weights of the CB and the cheap plastic of the same size that I show in the photos. the CB is only .4 tenths of an ounce heavier and that is primarily because of the superior single bolt attach method.

I'm just happy that the Mecoa site has now been posted a couple of times now with the CB spinners, I thought CB was no longer with us. I have only used one on a glow engine but I like them on my gas engines that only get hand flipped. I had a big box of them from years past and have finally used them all up. I may have several of the back plates still on hand?
I thought they were heavy too until John brought out his scale. And people tell me I have too much time on my hands!!
