Default Balance for 1/3 Spacewalker

I know the plans call for 4'' to 5.5'' for a balance point on a 1/3 scale big spacewalker. What flys it the best,
I am leaning closer to 4 3/4''

Your question is difficult to answer as what is 'BEST' for one person could be terrifying for another. I set most of my stuff up to be very twitchy so like a rear ward CG.

Mind you a 1/3 Spacewalker is not likely to get very twitchy.

Why not start at 4.5in and GRADUALLY move it back till you get uncomfortable with the elevator response and then go back a step.

As you move the balance point back, you should reduce the elevator throw some. Just moving the cg back can make the plane seem twitchy before you get the cg to a really good place.
