Default Slow down

Can a prop change help slow down the speed of a plane? I've got a Tiger 2 with a GMS .76 ringed on it. Using a 11x7. It's my first low wing. And is flying faster at 1/4 throttle than my trainer did full out. Can you go under prop, so to speak, to slow this bird down? Say a 9X6.

You slow down by switching to a larger diameter and lower pitched prop, such as a 12x6 or 13x5 in your case. You do not reduce the diameter. Otherwise, you will be over revving the engine.

And Cadd, for future reference, please don't post the same thing to multiple threads.

Thanks,
