Default Carbon Fiber Q-500?

can i build a carbon fiber quickie? i'ts worth trying? waht could be the beneficts and how cani do it. i'am thinking in doing one but i'd rather ask before i start spending the money. i think it could be a nice idea. i know the wing must be sheated foam, but instead of balsa can i change it to carbon fiber. well any idea will help a lot. if this proyect comes up good i'll tell you the story; if not i would be a lot of fun trying. thanks raniery coletto

It would be expensive and I don't think it would be much lighter th en fiberglass... Aside from the phsycological factor, I don't see the point.

We all use CF where xtra strength is needed in Quicky 500s, however, there is no competitive or cost savings point in producing an all CF Q500. It would be the same as building a typical all composite plane which requires plugs and molds and lots of time/money for the setup. Besides... after all the work... it's hole in the ground won't be any more impressive than a traditional construction quicky.
