Default Source for hollow Fiberglass rods?

I'm looking for 1/4 dia. I think Tower used to sell a package of 8 each for pushrod use, but I don't think they have it anymore. Anyone have info? Thanks in advance.

Jeff,

Have you thought about carbon fiber arrow shafts? The ones I use are .228 OD and are VERY strong and light. I am fortunate, as there is an archery store/range a block away, and he gives me all of his "scrap" shafts (cut off pieces in the 8" to 10" range). I just bought a bunch on the Bay, less than a dollar a piece, 32.5 inches long, fort another project I am working on.

Jeff,

You can try this site also, and the prices and pictures are pretty good:

I've had great luck with CENTRALHOBBY. Rods and great fittings for the ends with two way ball joints. Originally focused on airplanes, but a hidden jewel. Rods are carbon fiber but are better for pushrods. Can be cut to length. Tell me what what you think. Tommy Tuna777

+1 as Heli001 said.

I picked up some CF arrow shafts at a Mejers store on sale for $2.00. Just a hair over 1/4".

Wow, this thread was brought up from YEARS ago.. I appreciate the help tho'. I think goodwinds kites is where I ended up getting the parts from. Project was completed long time ago, but was successful.
