Default Canopy Hatch

The plane I am buidling now is an A-10 from Keith Sparks plans, I have done some modifications to it, pneumatic retracts, and servo locations, so now in order to access the areas I need to access, I need to make a canopy hatch. Any ideas as to how to do this ? I know I'll need some type of framework around the canopy to hold it down, then a method to hold it down that doesn't look gaudy or obvious ( I think wing nuts are out of the question LOL ) maybe a way to recess a black countersunk screw so it looks like a fitting or something. any ideas would be helpful ! Thanks again.

Dowel pin at an angle in front, spring catch in back. Use an antennae or something as the catch actuator. (100% hidden) You only have to be able to pull on the catch... the spring will lock it in.

Check with the Jet crowd, they like to use hatches and have neat little spring loaded 'things' that should work.
