Removing Castor Stains
I've got an OS 40 FP on my Airmadillo and have been burning castor in it. I'm really not concerned with looks right now because there is no way to make an Airmadillo good, but should I chose to use the engine on another plane I might want to pretty it up a bit.
Will the anti-freeze/crock pot combination do it?

I've used that method a few times and it worked good. It has to cook for quite a while, overnight at least and probably longer. Some of the brown stuff will still be in the nooks and crannys but an old toothbrush will get it all off. Anti-freeze, at least the etylene glycol type, is real poisonous, be carefull of it.
