Default Landing gear repair

Well I found the Lg block inside the fuse split and the piece is missing so I cannot reglue it.This is the vertical piece that holds the LG stationary. I am considering using a couple LG straps, possibly the ones that are molded to fit the wire. Any other ideas? Thanks jollyroger

You could cut out a couple of pieces of plywood to capture the gear wire. Glue the pieces on each side of the gear wire.

Do like Will said. LG Straps won't hold because there's not enough securing them to the fuse sides

Slip in a brass tube the size t match the LG... get some "ultra blue" Bondo. Cast a new LG retaining block.

You can cast wing hold down blocks with this stuff for a 1.20 powered plane..... drill and tap and use the 1/4-20 nylon screws. the screw will break LONG before the bondo. Its about as light as an equal block of hard maple.
