Looking for something saw on a plane! This was a plate on the wing that the servo mounted to and had a cover over the arm where it came out, then unit bolted to the wing with 4 screws and was about 2"square.Made a real neat installation, bought a ultimate 300with the single servo and bellcranks that is all torn out now but thought these mounts might work nice here.Fellow that has them thought they had come from Hobby People but I can't find anything on there website!Any body know what I am talking about? Thanks!Bob Moodie

J&B Access Panels: www.jbaccesspanels.com I think this is what you are looking for. I have made my own from 1/16 to 3/32 plywood. Epoxy mounting blocks made from 1/4 inch Ply and cut a slot for the servo arm to go through. Make a recessed frame between the ribs from 1/4 in sq. stock. Four screws in the corners to hold it in. Works fine.

From: gone,
Just look at the building instructions for the Tiger 60 or the Four-Star 60. (and a bunch of other models... including the GP Fokker Dr1 ARF...)
Its simple and effective. Very neat setup.

Dennis - I have had too many problems with side mounted servos. First, you have to remove the hatch to change the servo geometry. Second, you have to make a gaping hole to prevent the pushrod from hitting the hatch.
I know a lot of guys do a side-mount and I do when I can't fit the servo in any other way, but I don't like that method much.
